Breakfast With Penguins at Hilton Mystic
Every child would agree that Saturday morning cartoons cannot compete with meeting live penguins! Thanks to a special partnership between Mystic Aquarium and Hilton Mystic, the hotel will be hosting Breakfast With Penguins every Saturday morning in March.
Simply book any guest room package Friday evening in March and treat your children to this special opportunity to meet and greet live penguins the next morning. Breakfast is served in The IRONS, the hotel’s award-winning onsite restaurant.
Breakfast is open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. (meal costs are additional) and the penguin visit time is 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Please note that masks are required and there is no touching of the penguins. Offer is available to hotel guests only.
In addition to Breakfast With Penguins, your family will enjoy socially distanced saltwater pool time, swarthy masked pirates, safe and engaging activities, and memory-making photo opportunities for children of all ages at Hilton Mystic.
The hotel is steps away from Mystic Aquarium where families can experience beluga whales, Steller sea lions, African penguins, sharks, and stingrays. The Aquarium has reimagined animal encounter programs to develop new, unique, and engaging events during these unprecedented times.
Hilton Mystic always offers an Aquarium Package which includes a continental breakfast and 4 tickets (2 adults/2 children) to Mystic Aquarium.
Located just off Interstate 95, with proximity to Boston, Hartford and New York City, Mystic, Connecticut is an ideal destination for the entire family – and a stay at Hilton Mystic is not only budget-friendly based on family-geared package rates but it puts families in The Heart of Mystic with attractions in walking distance.
Enjoy an on-going schedule of socially distanced kid-friendly activities and meet-and-greet masked pirate sightings of Captain Grinnell, featuring individually bagged snacks like cotton candy, fresh popped popcorn, or cookies and milk from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. during April vacation weeks.
The hotel’s authentic saltwater pool features dive-in movies available nightly on a poolside big screen. Simply sign-up at the front desk to attend.
Due to COVID-19, Hilton Mystic reduced capacity at the indoor pool to allow for social distancing.
Also launching for April vacation weeks, a new daily Kid’s PJ Movie Time will occur in one of many banquet spaces – featuring taped-out squares to designate your own safe space, limited to 25 guests.
Hilton Mystic owns and operates a distinctive on-property restaurant called The IRONS which features a seasonal twist on comfort foods and a dedicated children’s menu. The restaurant has removed any multi-use condiments or other products on tables. No items are placed on tables prior to guest arrival. All items are brought as requested individually portioned or in sanitary containers. The restaurant is using single use paper menus.
Plans to go exploring around Mystic? During April vacation weeks, guests can now pre-order a Family Picnic To-Go, a convenient, packaged lunch to go with you on the day’s adventure.
Guests can also walk across the street and spend a relaxing day in Olde Mistick Village where they can stroll the beautiful lanes and enjoy shopping in distinctive buildings designed to represent a 1720-era New England Village.
Hilton Mystic is minutes from the Old Mystic Seaport – a recreated 19th-century seafaring village, comprised up of dozens of real New England buildings staffed with historians, musicians, storytellers, and craftspeople who bring our seafaring past to life.
The hotel less than 2 miles from downtown Mystic shopping and dining district – where visitors can browse a unique selection of clothing, books, home decor and more at 80 independently-owned shops and experience the diverse culinary landscape of the area’s best restaurants.
Masks are required in all public spaces at each attraction and within the hotel and restaurant.
Hilton Mystic has fully implemented Hilton’s CleanStay program, developed in partnership with RB, maker of trusted home and industrial cleaning brands Lysol and Dettol with over 200 years of cutting-edge science and research in human health products.
The CleanStay program involves extra sanitization of 10 high-touch areas in guestrooms, elimination of multi-use products in-room, sealed and sanitized items for guest use (remote, coffee products, hairdryer), and increased frequency of cleaning all public space areas, including elevators and lobby.
The hotel offers touchless check-in and guestroom access via the Hilton Honors app with advance check-in. Plexiglas is in place at Check-in and there are signage reminders to social distance throughout. Guest access has been streamlined in single way entry and exit points. Capacities are limited in elevators and public restrooms.
Again, masks are mandated for all staff and patrons, due to both state regulations, and Hilton mandates for all U.S. properties to ensure consistent safety. The hotel is providing masks for guests that arrive without facial coverings.
